As
Captain and Head of Delegation, Ala Heiler represented the German University
Sports Federation on the German National University Golf Team's trip to
Thailand in 2004 and to the World University Golf Championships in Italy
in 2006.
He plays with a single handicap for the charity team Bogeys and is helping
to nurture the promising young talent of Max Futschek (aged 12) and Michael
Resch, winner of the 2007 German Golf Championships for Disabled Persons.
Ala Heiler is also Vice President of Golf Club Neckartal e.V. in Kornwestheim
near Stuttgart.
