Over his musical
career Ala Heiler has worked as a jazz and pop singer, instrumentalist,
composer, voice and saxophone teacher as well as an arranger.
He was the founder of the pop group "WIND" and was bandleader
during its successful 1984-1990 period when the group produced numerous
hits. WIND also achieved second place at the Eurovision Song Contest on
two separate occasions which resulted in the group entering The Guinness
Book of Records as a world record holder.
